This season elevate your Thanksgiving dinner with an evening at Georgetown’s award-winning Capella Hotel. For the holidays, the property will be hosting a Black Friday brunch and Thanksgiving feast, as well as offering a Capella Presidential Thanksgiving Package. Guests will enjoy cuisine created by James Beard award-winning Executive Chef Frank Ruta and Rammy’s Best Pastry Chef of the Year Aggie Chin, that highlights the best flavors of the season. Specialty holiday cocktails will also be available at the hotel’s Rye Bar.
Thanksgiving dinner will be held in the hotel’s Grill Room run by Chef Ruta. The family-style dinner will consist of holiday favorites and homemade pies. That evening’s nightcap will include a seasonal Rye Ginger Toddy made with rye whiskey, Darjeeling tea, lemon, honey and ginger. The next morning, the Black Friday brunch will be a lighter affair with traditional brunch dishes offered à la carte to hungry shoppers. In the afternoon, a freshly-made hot apple cider will be available, made with locally-sourced apples from Northern Neck Farms.
Guests of the hotel will also have the opportunity to take advantage of the Capella Presidential Thanksgiving Package. The deal includes overnight accommodations in the Presidential Suite with a welcome service of organic pears and a Rye Ginger Toddy cocktail. While the Thanksgiving dinner and Black Friday brunch are included, diners can customize the menu and have the meals served in the privacy of their own suite. To commemorate the holiday the hotel will also gift guests a monogrammed carving set. For shoppers, spend the day chauffeured in a luxury car for a four-hour Black Friday shopping tour.
