  • The California State Railroad Museum retells the history of the railroad, and has 21 restored locomotives and other railcars, including a Pullman-style sleeping car and a Railway Post Office.

  • If you park at k street mall you can get three hours free parking with validation and the hourly rate is a lot less than the old sac garages. There is a nice tunnel that goes right under the freeway.
  • When visiting The Railroad museum stop bye River City Saloon next door. Free wi-fi, cheap drinks, and don't forget to say hi to the mayor, he is a bartender there!
  • Best teain museum possibly anywhere. Free museum day on the first Saturday in February makes this a bargain.
