  • The best place to find your inner Zen boasts relaxed, peaceful grounds. Claim a spot near the serene Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden, surrounded by Japanese myrtle and cypress trees, and bliss out.
  • The Garden has more than 200 cherry trees of forty-two Asian species and cultivated varieties, making it one of the foremost cherry-viewing sites outside of Japan.
  • Take in the beautiful foliage and treat yourself to ice cream at the caf; in winter when it's too cold to stroll, visit the climate-controlled Steinhardt Conservatory.

  • In Prospect Park, this is just a magical place to relax and stroll through the many gardens. It is as beautiful in the spring when the cherry blossoms are in bloom as it is in the fall.

  • The cherry blossom festival is a must-see. But any time of year this is a great escape from city life and a great place to take visitors who are convinced we have NO nature in nyc.

  • From the Japanese Tea Garden to the Lily-Pad exhibit, the Rose Garden and places to stop for a snack and a drink throughout, this is a great place to stroll or spend a day with the kids.
