Tips

  • Brasserie Beck's bar is always buzzing with after-work crowds sampling its wide selection of Belgian brews and the menu, too, is a good starter for exploring Belgian cuisine. [Eater 38 Member]
  • This brasserie and beer hall is a multipurpose spacegreat for blowing off steam with coworkers, downing platters of oysters and pints of beer, enjoying a hearty meal or a leisurely weekend brunch.
  • Favorite place of all time. Eaten here probably 10+ times in a year and it keeps me coming back for more.
  • Chef Robert Weedwire's food is very tasty yet simple. -Timothy Dean, Top Chef
  • Try the cherry lambic dessert. Not on the menu so if not offered, ask!
  • Check out their on-tap menu!
  • Get the cappuccino. A rock sugar stirrer and cookie accompany the beverage.
  • Excellent!
  • My beer costs more than my meal and I have ZERO issues with that
  • Have a Straffe Hendrik. This is the only US location I've found it. Before visiting here, the only other place I'd had one was in its founding city, Brugge in Belgium. Get it on draft or in a bottle.
  • The Mussels are the best
  • Mussels are so good!
  • Old-world decor and hearty yet elegant Belgian cooking make this restaurant one of D.C.'s hotspots. Take advantage of the "beer sommelier" when attempting to pair a drink with your duck liver parfait.
  • The pomme frites are overrated. You can get much better in the city.
  • Crisp, briny oysters, mussels a dozen ways, steak frites & great Belgian beer.
  • Upscale food with a casual feel. Beware though- parking is a nightmare!
  • Single people are invisible at this place. I waited 15 minutes for a. server and no one showed up at my table so I walked out..
  • Beef carbonnade is delicious!
  • Aventinus. Drink it.
  • Crappy at pulling beer. Way to much head and 2/3 full. I'm disappointed. Thought a place with such excellent beer would know better.
