Popular fast-casual fresh soup restaurant set for April 27 grand opening

Bothell Prepares For Its 1st Helping of Zoup!

Bothell, WA  (RestaurantNews.com)  Fresh soup lovers in Bothell can start feeling warm all over. The nation’s leading fast-casual fresh soup concept – Zoup! – is preparing to open its doors next week, introducing its award-winning soups and made-to-order salads and sandwiches to the area.

Bothell’s first Zoup! – the second in Washington – will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, April 27. The new restaurant is located at 1410 228th St. SE, Ste. 100, Bothell, WA 98021, near the Canyon Park Place Business Park.

“This is the first Zoup! in the greater Seattle area, so we can’t wait to open our doors and start sharing our delicious soups, salads and sandwiches with the community,” said franchisee Kari Hingst, who owns the restaurant with her mother, Fran Steinert. “My mom and I drove all around the Northwest visiting various Zoup! locations and we couldn’t be happier to be opening one of our own. Residents of Seattle and surrounding areas, including Bothell, are all very health conscious and active, so Zoup! is going to fit in perfectly.”

This is the mother-daughter duo’s first Zoup!, and they hope to open additional locations in the area in the near future.

On April 26, the day before its official grand opening, Bothell’s new Zoup! will host a fundraiser from 5 – 8 p.m. benefiting the Northshore Schools Foundation. For a $5 donation, guests will enjoy a bowl of their favorite soup, a big hunk of fresh-baked bread and a small fountain drink, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the organization.

“We’re very pleased to support the important work being done by our local schools,” said Steinert. “We’re inviting the entire community to come out and enjoy some delicious soup and help us make a meaningful difference in the lives of the kids and families served by the Foundation.”

To help customers select from the daily soups, sampling is encouraged. And, for those looking to save time, a daily soup menu and online ordering are available. Customers also can sign up online to receive a daily email menu.

“We created Zoup! after discovering that really good soup is hard to find,” said Eric Ersher, Zoup!’s founder and CEO. “Also, in talking to people, it became clear that there’s something special about soup and the way it elicits thoughts of family, well-being and comfort for many people. We strive to offer authentic, hand-crafted soups that are as good – and as ‘feel-good’ – as the homemade soups our mothers and grandmothers used to make.”

As an established brand throughout the United States and Canada – with more than 100 restaurants in 19 states/provinces – Zoup! is targeting Washington as part of an overall expansion strategy.

The Bothell restaurant will employ 17 team members and will be open 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday. For more information, please call 425.659.1700, visit zoup.com or like us on Facebook.
