Tips

  • The crabmeat au gratin is out of this world! Catfish tid bits are stellar too - very lightly battered.
  • La Crema Pinot Noir is a real treat!
  • If I had friends in for one day, Bon Ton Cafe is where I would bring them for authentically delicious, local cuisine. Unpretentious, down home wait staff with high falutin' & quality food!
  • An old school creole/Cajun restaurantcheckered tablecloths, etc. Been around for 110 years because it's just that good. - Chef John Besh (crab bisque, crawfish bisque, crabmeat au gratin)
  • The bread pudding is excellent. Split an order between 2 or 3 people. The whiskey sauce is very strong... get it on the side or substitute the caramel sauce.
