  • everything about this place is righteous. I would be content to sleep on the couch there for the rest of my life.
  • Nerd Grrrl: Working Women in Music event on Wednesday January 16th.
  • Great books, good peeps. Support independent bookstores.
  • Collectively owned, volunteer run, bookstore and cafe. Feminist. Anarchist. Free events every night.
  • "Bookstore, fair trade caf, activist center." If you're ever in need of literature on feminism, LGBT topics, race issues, and other touchy subjects, Bluestockings may be the place for you!

  • Watching Cove

  • Fight the Power!
  • Great selection of unique, not so mainstream books dividedby subject / theme. Great coffee as well!
  • Go to Bluestockings on a Thursday or Friday before 6pm and ask Kimmie for a delicious cappuccino. Then have a cigarette on the bench with her.
  • Diverse book selection focusing on race, politics, class, and gendernot just dead-white-guy literature. They also have awesome merchandise from cool artists, vegan baked goods, and free condoms!
  • One of my favorite bookstores in NYC!
  • Great vibes. Great place to meet up with a friend to chat about dismantling the patriarchy. Possibly place of origin for the next revolution.
  • I could have spent so much more time in here. So many great feminist book options.
