Even though country stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert now spend a significant amount of time in Hollywood, they still stay true to their roots.
According to a recent People magazine article, The Voice host goes home to Oklahoma as often as possible and, when there, embraces his surroundings to the fullest. Back in his home state, date nights with his wife often consist of "throwing a cooler in the back of the pickup and driving around the property clearing brush and singing to the radio," Shelton told Men's Journal. If the pair feels like going out, they head to "dinner at the all-you-can-eat rib buffet and dessert at Dairy Queen. When we get home, we like to be home."
They also stay local when doing their shopping, sticking mostly to "Dollar General, on Main Street, and a Family Dollar," according to Shelton, who adds that, "If you can’t find what you need there… the closest Walmart is… 15 miles away."
While the paparazzi may not be able to snap pictures of the country couple leaving Hollywood hot spot Nobu, it seems like all they have to do to spot them is head to the nearest Oklahoma rib restaurant.
