  • Try the Welsh Rarebit - a cheddar sauce enriched with lager and spices. Enjoy it as an appetizer or order it with the Martins Delight, the house version of a Hot Brown. Via
  • Sit in the booth where JFK proposed to Jackie. :)
  • Booth two on the right is the Nixon booth. Booth three is where JFK proposed to Jackie
  • Head to Booth 3 to see where JFK popped the question to Jackie B.
  • Hot Brown = open-faced turkey melt on steroids. Goes great with a Guiness.
  • Order the great pesto-crusted lamb pops.
  • The restaurant where JFK proposed to Jackie O. Second booth on the right. Bonus points if you're able to get a picture sitting there!
  • Best brunch in town.
  • Ask for the two person booth, chat with the host "Inio", snag a coaster
  • Nice and classy place. Personally I like knowing the history of the place, such as all the presidents who've eaten there.
  • Can not go wrong here.
  • This booth!!
  • Don't order crab cakes; fishy and shell bits left inside. Waste of $30. Burger is ok, med was a little dry. Greasy onion rings. Ambiance is awesome. Great place to come for the history, not the food.
  • Be like JFK here...I mean Mack on the ladies. Don't get assassinated.
  • John F Kennedy proposed to Jacqueline Bouvier in booth #3.
  • Comfort food at its finest. Creamed chipped beef with poached eggs...
  • Have a beer where every sitting U.S. President has patronized since Truman. On one of JFK's visits, he proposed to Jackie in one of the booths.
  • , !! !
  • Ask for Delaney at the bar. He is the dean of DC bartenders!
  • The chowder is amazing
