This is a wonderful slow cooker recipe for this type of meat, which tends to be pretty fatty. You might want to trim the fat before you brown the ribs. I didn't do that last time and I ended up cutting off a significant amount of fat off the ribs before I could serve them. But boy, are they yummy! Again, credit to the OrderingDisorder blog.

Ribs are perfect for the slow cooker because the longer you cook them, the more tender they become. Here's a quick recipe to tempt your taste buds, served with it's own condiment. Time does not include slow cooking. I will prepare this in my slow cooker the night before, plop in the cooker the next day and forget about it. Voila, dinner is ready in 10 minutes.

This is a modified version of a recipe I've had for decades. I have no idea where I got it. Pictured is about half of the recipe.

Whew! I think I checked all 87 short ribs recipes to be sure this one isn't posted, so here it is! The original recipe came in a microwave cookbook that came with the oven, but using the slow cooker suits me better right now, so I've been making it that way. Sounds really unusual, but is totally good! Serve in a soup bowl with cornbread.

This is a GREAT meal for winter, especially... sort of like a stew but in bigger pieces. So yummy!!

Sounds delicious. Posted for safe-keeping. From Ladies Home Journal. Their nutritional info is VERY different from Zaar's for this recipe, I think Zaar is forgetting that there are bones in the ribs, not just 4 pounds of straight meat. LHJ version of nutrition: calories 480; total fat 14.5g; saturated fat 5.5g; cholesterol 75mg; sodium 696mg; carbohydrate 51g; fiber 7g; protein 32g;
