Oysters
It's tough to beat the simplicity of raw oysters topped with a bright and tangy mignonette — the balance of flavors is developed and complex but the preparation is quick and easy. While developing this recipe I was worried that the boldness of the fresh ginger and Sriracha chili sauce would overpower the refined flavor of the oysters, but the combination turned out very well. The warming heat from the Sriracha mingled with the earthy tones of the ginger and the bite of the shallot complimented the briny oysters perfectly. Feel free to adjust the heat level to your desired preference, but try not to go overboard with it.  Click here to see 7 Outstanding Oyster Recipes.

Brussels sprouts cry out for bacon, at least in my kitchen, says The Daily Meal's editorial director, Colman Andrews. But, he adds, fried prosciutto is even better, because it's leaner and fries up much faster.

Chef Steve McHugh may be a Wisconsin-born chef running an acclaimed San Antonio restaurant (Cured), but he's a New Orleans chef through-and-through. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America he moved to The Big Easy, where he spent time cooking at restaurants including Dickie Brennan's SteakBacco before goining chef John Besh's team at Best Steak and later his fine dining restaurant August, where he served as chef de cuisine. This is McHugh's recipe for classic New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp, which coats the shrimp in a rich and buttery sauce.

Asparagus
A simple yet flavor-packed (not to mention healthy) side dish which makes an excellent accompaniment to any meal. The dish has even been featured as a “pick” in the Men’s Health Eat This, Not That series which makes it ideal for those who are watching what they eat. And, best of all, it’s a great way to being restaurant-type flavors into yor home wthout the high cost (plus it's pretty easy to make). Since P.F.Chang’s doesn’t publish many recipes, save for a few selected for its Chef’s Corner section of the website, this is essentially a knock-off of the recipe made to taste as similar as possible to the original.
