Top Rated Mushroom Sauce Recipes

Party Vegan
The rich flavor of porcini mushrooms, featured in both the stuffing and the sauce, is the hallmark of this elegant roast that makes a delicious centerpiece on your holiday dinner table.Note: To make your own porcini powder, place one or two dried porcini in a spice grinder and grind to a powder. Store any unused porcini powder in an airtight container, where it will keep for several months.Adapted from "Party Vegan" by Robin Robertson.

Truffle Dumplings
Recipe Courtesy of Delicious and SonsThis recipe uses a combination of ground beef and vegetables, but you could easily substitute chicken, pork, shrimp, vegetables, or tofu. Once filled, these dumplings freeze very well. Always make more than you need and store the rest in the freezer for a quick dinner.

Bison Rib-eye Steak with Porcini Mushrooms
Freshly picked porcini are the true stars of this dish. The bison steaks can be replaced with any New York strip loin, bone-in rib-eye, T-bone, or tenderloin steaks. This recipe is one of my favorite dinners to make on a camping trip: I bring along all the ingredients except for the mushrooms. If I am lucky enough to find them, dinner becomes a feast.Excerpted from Savor by Ilona Oppenheim (Artisan Books). Copyright © 2016. Photographs by Ilona Oppenheim.

The first time I was in Germany there was during Oktoberfest and there was food everywhere. We were guests at a little restaurant - It was a Barvarian restaurant and the size of a small home with a tiny driveway. I would say there were no more than 10 tables in the entire place and it was close quarters. We enjoyed this special experience. Luckily we were with our friends from Germany and they read us the menu. I wanted Schnitzel and Spaetzle. This meal was amazing and I do make it often and we love to make it Paleo! I will admit that making it tradition comes out perfect every time and it took several attempts to get it just perfect. Now we love this Paleo Recipe. I hope you enjoy!! (If you don't want to make this paleo then just use all purpose flour) For this recipe and other entertaining tips from Cindy's Table, click here and sign up for my newsletter.

Walnut Meatballs
I'm not a big fan of "fake" meat, so instead these vegetarian meatballs are made with a mixture of nuts and seeds. The protein-rich nuggets mimic falafel and are substantial enough to make them just as filling as standard meatballs and work well on top of the spaghetti squash.  Click here to see 8 Easy Vegetarian Dishes.

Tuna Noodle Casserole
This is my absolute, without a doubt, favorite food of all time. My mother made it for me on a weekly basis growing up and I have continued to make it for myself as often as possible since leaving her loving nest. It's comfort food at its most comforting and I love it. I adapted my mother's recipe to make it a lactose-free experience, without sacrificing any taste! Click here to see Casserole Recipe Redux
