The holidays are a time of celebration and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a classic champagne toast. To jazz things up a bit this season, why not try Todd Porter and Diane Cu’s Casanova champagne cocktail recipe? Taken from their cookbook Bountiful: Recipes Inspired by Our Garden, this simple yet stylish drink pairs champagne with muddled raspberries and a touch of orange bitters for one sweet celebratory drink.
As Porter and Cu put it, "Friends, this drink is a sexy beast. So get ready to impress some ladies, or gentlemen." Follow their Casanova champagne cocktail recipe below.
According to history, this was one of Casanova's favorite dishes. I have made this without the truffles, but I bet it's even better with them... A good Valentine's dish. From Italian Cooking & Living, March 2002.
This recipe came from an old Sunset Magazine cookbook. I have no idea how Casanova became associated with it. However, it is extremely easy to prepare, requires very few ingredients and is rather impressive to serve.
