I had something similar to this in a restaurant once. It was good, but of course I think this version is way better, mostly because I get to put in as much garlic and basil as I want — which means it has to be delicious. I just got this recipe from my sister in Michigan...she just raved about it and how awesome it tastes. I haven't yet tried it but it sounds very good so I thought I would share with you all. I will post my rating just as soon as I make it myself.
This is heaven, being able to sit down and eat a whole bowl of bruschetta! It is pasta though so there isn't the browned factor unless you put it in a casserole and broil it for a minute. It is awesome served with blackened chicken or garlic shrimp as well.
This is really good as a meatless main dish, or a side dish served with meat. I'm sure it can be made with fresh ingredients but I use canned tomatoes and dried spices because that's what I always have on hand.
