The Fine Arts Association in Willoughby, just east of Cleveland, is equipped with a professional and experienced staff to teach students a variety of instruments. Students will have lessons in their own private studio in guitar, harp, percussion, voice, piano and more. Several of the studios have Steinway grand pianos for the piano students. Students learn to express themselves through their musical instrument and can even play in recitals. It is a great place to meet others with a common interest in the arts.

Tri-C’s Performing Arts Academy offers private instruction for students who are interested in learning an instrument for fun or on a more serious level. There are various locations throughout the Cleveland area for students to take lessons and the lessons are arranged at a mutually agreeable time for student and instructor. This makes taking lessons very convenient and flexible. The instructors are very experienced both in their own playing in orchestras (one even played with Count Basie) and in their instruction to others.

The Music Settlement offers classes to all ages in private or group instruction. It not only offers lessons in a variety of instruments, but also offers instruction in music theory and various genres of music. Instruction is offered in classical, popular music, jazz and/or gospel, so that the student can learn his or her specific interest. The faculty is excellent and there is even some instruction offered by members of the Cleveland Orchestra for a special rate.

For the more experienced to the brand new budding musician, there is a class that is appropriate for everyone at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. There are reasonably priced private lessons with experienced musicians/instructors, group lessons and even a men’s chorus for the male vocalist to join. Programs are open to those without any experience and will teach students how to read music, play with others and depending on the program, give students the chance to learn how to play and rehearse with a full band or orchestra. The faculty is very experienced and has played or currently plays in several orchestras and ensembles worldwide.
