Tips
- Can you smell that woodsmoke, from the fireplace? Divine. (Youll smell it tomorrow in your hair.) Now have some wine and tortellini, pork.
- Ciano is where lovers share antipasti by candlelight. Rustic and refined, chef Shea Gallantes Italian restaurant looks like a grand Tuscan villa. Ask to be seated by the wood-burning fireplace.
- Reasons to go: an open hearth in the middle of the rustic dining room serving up fresh-baked, rosemary-infused bread nightly. (And ravioli stuffed with red wine-braised veal breast.)
- Reserve a table in the main dining area, outfitted with a romantic chandelier and a bright fireplace thats used to warm focacce, ciabatte and pizzas before theyre served.
- Try the Pappardelle with Duck Bolognese
- Kind of corporate but pasta is pretty pleasing. Try the spicy cortecce with baby octopus and pancetta ($24).
- The Veal Meatballs should be on everyone's to-do list
- She Gallantes next effort after Cru is a veritable hit. Platt loves the cortecce pasta with octopus best. Featured in Where to Eat 2011!
- Carefully crafted Northern Italian fare cooked by a very serious chef. Lunch is a great value.
- The homemade pastas are the specialty here like a raviolo filled with stracchino, parmigiano, and burrata, bathed in a rosemary-brown butter sauce. For dessert try Panna cotta
- Tasting menu no longer being offered as of December. Get the Veal meatballs. They are amazingly delicious.
- Get the meatballs no matter what!
- The veal meatballs are incredible! As is the chicken for two & everything else on the menu.
- Veal. Meatballs. Now. Do it.
- Veal meatballs and truffle gnocci. Amazing service and food.
- Good lunch menu
- Great atmosphere and amazing pasta!
- The only negative is they offer you water & charge you for it no matter wether you have gas or no gas!
- Very reminiscent of Italy. Great food & atmosphere.
- Executive Chef & Co-Owner Shea Gallante is a CIA alumnus.
