Tips

  • Don't ever come here, it is my secret place that hasn't been co-opted by hipsters.
  • Great beer in a cool environment. Ask Linsel the bartender about the Emmy behind the bar (it's real).
  • Every Monday is "Monday Cheer". "Yaaaaaaay!!!" whenever someone enters the brewery, and "Booooo!!!" whenever a person leaves.
  • Love this place! Relaxed, cozy little bar with a great atmosphere. Talk to Linsel, he'll help you find the perfect beer.
  • TRY THE GODDAMN NACHOS. For serious. Good lord.
  • The have an actual Emmy behind the bar. If you're nice, they'll take your pic with it.
  • Interesting atmosphere. Have played Jenga too many times to count.
  • Wifi password: letsparty
  • Have been twice now and have no complaints. Great beer and lovely, philosophical atmosphere. Books and games everywhere!!!
  • No sampler of the Tugboat brews. Bummer, but awesome little place.
  • Try their Red Cloud if it's on tap. Hoppy but awesome!
  • Tugboat Brewing Co. specializes in British-style ales, but its forte is its cozy ambience, with book-lined walls and wooden, lamp-lighted library tables.
  • Pretty sure they heat their food in a microwave. The wheat beer is horrid.
  • Funky little place, the smallest brewery in Portland. Tons of personality and the Hayfork Ale is tops!
  • Family-owned since 1992, the tiny Tugboat, which produces only a miniscule 120 gallons at a time, resembles your funky uncles study with a DIY bar in the back.
  • Best hard apple cider in the city! Great company too!
  • Cozy bar with great beers on tap and board games. They have their own beers and a rotating selection of excellent brews from other breweries
  • Love the smoked salmon plate and stouts!!!
  • We cant say much for their beers, but the food is great and the space is amazing. Perfect for a very small group or a couple, but with room for only 50, space is limited.
  • Library feel. Drink and be quiet.
