Tips

  • The best cocktails and most eccentric decor in West Oakland. Keep up with their calendar of events for great local music. Also worth grabbing tea and brunch during the day if you're around.
  • Be sure to check out all three distinct spaces - this place is the best!
  • Excellent cocktail menu. The Oaxacan something is a mezcal spin on an old fashioned. Go upstairs for dancing and what I thought was a pretty fantastic DJ.
  • The burgers were delicious and the drinks top notch. Their buns are a little odd. Overall though, great vibe and a beautiful space. They even have dancing upstairs!
  • Owner's a dick
  • All natural wine list! Fun spot to grab a drink before heading upstairs to the dance floor.
  • Bring extra money to party upstairs!
  • Good cocktails, but a mediocre beer selection. Nice venue upstairs and a cozy one adjacent.
  • Saw Sales here and the sound was awful. The venue wasn't very nice either.
  • Finally a proper bar in the Bay Area. Cool vibe, European atmosphere, no TVs. Good music too.
  • Brilliant cocktails and bartenders, gorgeous space, but strep prices with small food portions. If you want to splurge, this is where you want to be.
  • Starline is pleasant. Good music, good teas. I do not think the food was amazing, we had the avocado toast and breakfast sandwich. And is too cold in the morning! Not the best place for Breakfast.
  • Good drinks. Quiet and relaxed early, rowdy and packed later on the weekends
  • Music, people, cocktails, service, venue versatility
  • Upstairs venue, downstairs venue, poetry, music, beer, sweet people, tin ceilings, impromptu evenings.
  • This cavernous and historic bar, ballroom, and events space has gotten a big revamp, with a full food menu and an offering of cocktails like the Nola Derby, with rum, citrus, and coffee liqueur.
  • interesting finger foods, and great selection of cocktails
