Tips

  • A friend described this place as "where the Twitter kids go to spend their IPO money"... tho cheap compared to NYC cocktails IMHO. The "Informant" was best drink I tried.
  • Plus Plus is the "Big"-esque bar in the back. Just as good if not better for custom cocktails. Ask for Joey.
  • $14 cocktails & cash only is a bold pairing.
  • The fellows who brought you BIG, Public Works, and Jones have teamed up with carpenter extraordinaire, Eli Spear, to launch the newest venture in the Mid-Market High Tech Gulch.
  • Incredibly cool space and great (though extra-pricey) cocktails featuring lots of interesting infusions. Check out the "Corpse Reviver Machine" a bizarre mechanical drink-making device at the bar.
  • They have an impressive steampunk cocktail machine
  • Go to the plus plus side and ask for Joey
  • Go full hipster. Skip the $18 cocktails and head straight for the Schlitz.
  • Joey is an awesome bartender. He's super nice and makes amazingly creative drinks. Tip him well!
  • I don't post comments when I really like a place for fear of it getting too popular, but Joey and SRO deserve every good word I can write. He's genuine and his drinks are legit. Best. Staff. Ever.
  • While I prefer SRO in the back, Oddjob's cocktails are cheaper and quicker while still being tasty. Bring your friends to the "photobooth" on the way to the bathroom and hit that big red button.
  • Don't stand there looking like an idiot in front of the sink like me, the pedal makes the water flow, on the floor. There.
  • In addition to a thoughtful, well-executed cocktail list, this is a bar with space to hang and even a smaller back room if you want a more private party feel for your Secret Santa gift exchange.
  • Pricey but unique ! Try something new
  • Great atmosphere, good beers, expensive mixologist. Fun decor, steampunk inspired whiskey chiller that is as much a piece of art as functional and cool.
  • gorgeous space with really good cocktails that are worth every dollar...except I wish it didn't have to be paid in cash. ugh.
  • Hang a left when you walk in and enjoy SRO, the bar-within-a-bar.
  • Greatest bar around.
  • Nice rustic
  • Great craft cocktails, capable and friendly bartenders.
