Tips

  • Everything but the urinals were built by hand. The booths are made from reused bowling alley wood. Even the stage is a do-it-yourselfer. Come for the beer, stay for the woodworking lesson.
  • Drinking and dancing Hip hop Gogo music We rock right now
  • Cheap cheap beers! Look at the back shelf behind the bartenders ;)
  • Don't lower your eyes when you bow to your bartender before and after ordering. Not that you can't trust them, but it is the Kung Fu way.
  • Natty Boh on tap and in tall boys. Enough said. Decent site lines and good sound.
  • Watch out for the super rude bartenders.
  • they'll lead you astray....and you'll like it
  • If you love hip hop or just want to dance all night, don't miss "BodyRock" a monthly dance party by the illVibe Collective.
  • Maybe it was just the night I was there, but kfn attracts a much older crowd who still thinks its the grunge era.
  • Don't be ashamed to drink from the "Shelf of Shame". $2 beers shouldn't be eschewed.
  • The men's room urinal is mounted pretty high. Be careful you don't touch the tip...momma says you'll get thrush.
  • Nattie Boh on the shelf of shame is my jam.
  • A Kung fu themed bar playing old school kung fu movies and serving some of the best beer in Philly. Plenty of metal shows are played on the bars intimate stage, which is nicely tucked away in the back
  • When you're in the Kung Fu Necktie, don't let 'em give you any of that flank steak bullshit. You know what I mean? Try the London Broil.
  • Flux Incapacitator is a delish drink
  • go on a friday and buy brendon who works the door a shot of tequila. its promises a good night.
  • The city wide (beer and a shot) is only $4!
  • This place is super strange but my god is it fun. Incredible dance music, low-key vibe (like no need to dress up), and amazingly cheap drinks ($4 citywide shot-and-beer combo).
  • It was Carter night so all JayZ and Beyonc. It was really fun! Great vibes, and lots of dancing
  • Nice dive bar with live music and a pool table
