Foursquare Tips

  • Nearly always crowded; but there's a reason.
  • Best pub in the area. One of the barman is called merlin and the other has styled himself on Ming the merciless.
  • Great selection of real ales. It is on a street called Roupell, which is listed and features terraced houses made from the traditional "London stock brick" which is a pleasing yellow in colour.
  • Pub in the front, fantastic Thai restaurant at the back! Lovely pad see yew, will definitely be back for more.
  • A gem of a back street boozer. 8 real ales on tap - fantastic!
  • Best Thai food in the area. Quick service, perfect for lunchtime. Phad Thai every time. Great feel to it - spot the luvvies from the nearby Old Vic.
  • Food on Saturdays not until after 6pm!
  • Some of the best Thai food around. Always a good range of ales. Bar staff v friendly. Best to book for lunch - not always guaranteed to get a seat otherwise as it's very popular. No evening bookings.
  • A nice local near Waterloo away from the tourists with a Dr. Who street nearby
  • Board games played here every Sunday 3 to 10. Lovely group.
  • If you can handle it the Dark Star Imperial Stout at 10.5% is wonderful!
  • If its Ale you want go to the Kings it has a great selection at all times and always kept just right. At least 8 ales.
  • If you look carefully, you may see the pub cat. It's pretty cute!
  • Top tip. Drink here.
  • Yay! Dog friendly. Even when my mutt did a wee on the doormat!
  • They do take cards but only for 10 or over.
  • Amazing Thai food. Who would've thought?! Secretly hidden out the back! Best Thai food since Thailand!!
  • There's a reason it's always ramo in the main room.
  • Boondoggle. Better than Doombar
  • The pad thai is yummy and a good-sized portion. Spicy thai prawn crackers too.
