Foursquare Tips

  • Try the 1811 Lager.
  • Great variety of flavors to suit the palate of many beer lovers. A must stop. Don't miss!
  • The Fort has the best selection of big beers that you are likely to find in the NW. The service is friendly as well. Try the sausage sampler with the IPA.
  • Try the Fried Cod W/ Sausage Soup - The cod was perfectly cooked. The house hot sauce is pretty damn good too. Subbed fries for the Spicy Italian Sausage and White Bean Soup.
  • You have to try the house-made sausages!
  • Good solid selection of beer. The Vortex IPA won't disappoint!
  • Sit at the bar and ask for Sean.
  • Steak and cheese burrito is fantastic.
  • Great brewery, damn fine wood-fired pizza. Upstairs offers floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the river.
  • Spicy Sausage! Good, but spicy! Awesome soup - white bean, fennel & spicy sausage. Had the fish tacos, good but not amazing. Vortex was as good as promised!!!
  • If you're an IPA fan, get the Vortex. If you have more than one, call a cab.
  • Go to the tap room (next to the brew pub) and ask John to pour you some beers. He reads minds and knows his shit!
  • Check out more of our pub crawling adventures at www.thepubcrawlersroadshow.com . Thanks!!!
  • February is a great month to visit the Fort. Especially if you love dark beer. With 8 stouts on tap in the main bar and several more in the tasting room it is guaranteed to please.
  • Their homemade sausages are to die for!
  • Great IPA!
  • as of aug 8 2017 wifi pass is burgerwednesday
  • Beer and pizza are great! The views are awesome as well!
  • Fort George is one of my favorite places in Astoria. I go there every time I visit. Great beer, great food, great people and a cool atmosphere. What more could you want?
  • The best fish and chips. They use albacore tuna instead of cod. The burgers are juicy - at least 2 napkins. If you like dark beer - the doomed rider is for you. Creamy chocolaty goodness.
