Foursquare Tips

  • Great place for a nice glass of wine and a few tapas. -Carmen Gonzalez, Top Chef
  • Bar Jamon, a tiny Spanish wine bar serving small plates is the brainchild of chef Andy Nusser and Mario Batali.
  • Get that window seat and never leave.
  • One of our more off beat choices, but the Churros Y Chocolate cant be beat.
  • Ask the bar guys what is new. They probably know the wine better than you do
  • Always busy, claustrophobic, awesome. Great food - only cold dishes, wonderful wine list and a fun vibe. Romesco soft egg is delicious as are the mussels escabeche. Come early, place fills up by 6pm.
  • Juan at Bar Jamon is amazing! His has great insight on the wine list, and will help you pick the best wine for your meal.
  • Great wine and great staff;)
  • get a glass of Riveiro and some jamn.
  • Best place in the city.
  • Excellent wine and tapas. But avoid if you want conversation. The decibel and reverb level is ludicrous. A slight auditory design change might fix the problem.
  • Don't skip the tapas! Order the manteca toast with oven tomatoes. It's like bruschetta but even more amazing. Better yet, get two orders
  • The tomato bread and jamon slices are top notch.
  • Great little wine bar specializing in wines from Spain.
  • Sit at one of the communal benches in Bar Jamon and order some slices of tortilla espanola, a nourishing egg and potato custard slicked with garlic aioli, and there is your perfect late night meal.
  • Feels like a true tapas bar in Spain. Stand at the bar and get some type of seafood dish, jamon, tortilla and whatever else - you really can't go wrong. Wash it down with a cold bottle of Txakoli.
  • Spanish jamon
  • Like a mini trip to Spain.
  • The perfect place for a glass of good wine and consistently delicious bite in the union square area, this is my go to for an after work meet up with a friend. Be wary, it's tiny, not great for groups.
  • Lovely bar with great food & interesting wine list. My only complaint is the crowd that got a bit too loud for the ambience I was going for at a place like this.
