Foursquare Tips

  • The cocktail "Cellar Door". A.mazing!!
  • Try the mexican firing squad and sofrito and yellow rice!
  • This is really one of the coolest places I've been to in my 10 years in NYC. You HAVE to go.
  • Do yourself a favor and order a mojito. Or three.
  • Cool vibe and intimate early in the night, but soon gets very loud. Marcona almonds well below average, don't bother. Lamb skewers very tasty and papas bravas wonderfully smokey. Arepas are OK.
  • The cellar door is a great cocktail. Just saying...
  • Try the Mexican Firing Squad Cocktail - it's killer! -
  • Tries to be cool - really a midtown after work spot in disguise.
  • Modern, dark atmosphere with some of the best cocktails in midtown.
  • To the left ... ;)
  • If you like the gimlet, try the off menu cocktail called the bees knees.
  • They make an awesome Sazerac
  • Great small tapas - a little on the pricey side but must haves: Rock shrimp, croquettas de jamon, and any selection of their jamon Serrano. Great underground spot with high quality cocktails
  • Great place to grab strong cocktails with churros!
  • They make a mean Manhattan
  • Finally something in midtown somewhat worthy. Beautiful open space design w/communal tables. Great small plates/wine list. Try the flash fried shishito peppers, you're in for a hot surprise!
  • Prepare for a large but tasty bill at the end of a few glasses of Pappy Van Winkle 20yr
  • Great bar- good for after work as you aren't surrounded by commuters or tourists a true haven
  • To find the bar, take the elevator down and look for the gold rat.
  • Have the Mex Firing Squad but have them make it with a mescal. Sooo good.
