Foursquare Tips

  • The drunken chicken and lemongrass steak sandwiches are really good.
  • Love the tofu with avocado and I'm not even a vegetarian. Must get!
  • very good vietnamese banh mi
  • Call your order in early otherwise you'll be here forever.
  • For me, not worth it. Orders wrong or completely missing things (um... lettuce in a salad).
  • According to the folks behind the counter, the Fremont Baguette Box is no longer owned by the same people as the Cap Hill location. Might help explain why food at Fremont is slipping noticeably.
  • Try the Truffle Fries
  • Try the Drunken Chicken Salad
  • The tofu sandwich is not nearly as good in the Fremont location. Ick.
  • I don't recommend ordering online. I arrived to an empty store, but they "hadn't had a chance" to check the printer or even BEGIN making my order.
  • In two compact storefronts, Eric Banh, one of the geniuses behind the Vietnamese bistro Monsoon, shoves the darnedest things into baguettes.
  • The food is great but service is slipping.
  • Behind the sedate brick faade is a hip, hard-edged urban eatery. Elegant baguette sandwiches ($4.25-$7.50) built on Le Panier bread, with pork, lamb, steak, cured meats, chicken, veggies and tofu.
