appetizer - blue crab fritter

Sometimes a fritter is just a fritter, but the gulf crab fritter at Bacchanalia is one crusty crustacean that tops CLs 100 dishes list.

An elegant seasonal menu where almost everything is grown or raised on the chef's own farm.

not widely known...you can order off a limited menu (instead of the pricey prix fixe menu) when you sit at the bar. bon apetit!

Be sure to note that the seasonal menu is a four-act play: appetizers, entrees, cheese and contrast and dessert.

OMG! It's like bread from heaven...ALL IN MY MOUTH! LOL

A mature restaurant, but never a dowdy one. Bacchanalia has a southern aesthetic but by no means antiquarian, meaning country-fried sweetbreads with artichokes, and quail stuffed with mortadella.

Blue crab fritter is the OG of Atlanta fine-dining dishes.

Everything. Anything.

Long heralded as Atlantas favorite five-star restaurant, Bacchanalia features contemporary American cuisine using the freshest possible ingredients.

The 'Capone' corner table is the best seat. It's super romantic and you can see everything. Everything on the menu is great and they have gluten free options.

One of the best restaurants in the country. A Top Chef at a Top restaurant. You don't just come here for dinner, you come here for an Event. Come prepared to be dined like you never have b4.

Ahh Bacchanalia. La crme de la crme, the tip top, the highest standard restaurant you'll find in Atlanta. Expect to spend no less than a couple hundred for dinner for two.

The wine pairings really complete the tasting menu. It's a lot, but you can opt for a half portion. The vegetarian dishes are the best, IMHO, as many ingredients are sourced from their own farm.

Try the Heirloom Tomatoes & Mozarella - Zebra tomato sandwich and mozzarella. Bread is crusty and soft.
Chef Alexis | 2012-06-30 15:33:42
Try the Prosciutto And Sweet Butter Sandwich - Only two slices of prosciutto and just butter. Very European. When you have the best ingredients, you don't need a ton of it.

Try the Fried Shrimp Po' Boy - Not greasy with spicy mustard and perfectly briny shrimp.

Try the Fritatta - Potato goat cheese fritatta. In a muffin size. Great to share and great way to control calories.

Try the Cucumber And Dill Salad - Creamy yogurt lightly acidic and Tangy dill finish the salad. Refreshing on a hot day like today.
