  • Known for its al fresco dining ala Bywater with live music, skeeters, and a slew of rickety furniture, Bacchanal offers a seasonal menu of exquisite small plates on the cheap. [Eater 38 Member]

  • Might, just might, be the coolest place I've been in New Orleans.
  • Magic. Come with a group and arrive before 7pm to get seats outside by the stage. Order a couple bottles of wine, some cheese, and small plates to share, and settle in for the night
  • A wine & cheese shop, serious kitchen, live music venue, and fun bar all rolled into one. Hand the cheese you buy to the cashier along with $5; you'll get extra grilled bread & cheese plate fixin's.
  • This is a magical place.
  • Try the generous cheese plates served at the wine shop. -Gambit's Five in 5
  • Lively, laid back atmosphere - the perfect place to grab a drink with a group of friends or go on a date. Get a bottle of wine or beers and sit out on the patio with a cheese plate listening to jazz
  • "A must, cool place to hang out" - JD; "Lovely drinks, tapas, food place w cheap drinks and outdoor seating" - Jana
  • This is my spiritual home. The steak, the swordfish, doesn't matter. Get here early, get a table and get loose.
  • Come on Sunday evenings for delicious food from guest chefs and live music in the courtyard
  • Magical backyard garden with live jazz. Buy wine and cheese inside and take it out back or check out the bar upstairs. They also offer delicious small plates.
  • You buy cheese and they plate it for you! You buy wine and grab your own glasses! You sit/stand outside and drink the wine and eat the cheese and listen to live-but-not-too-loud music!
  • Credit cards accepted with $10 minimum. If you're with a group grab a couple bottles of wine or beer & take it out to the patio on the way in. Food ordered at the window round the back or upstairs bar
  • Cozy atmosphere and music. Great place for wine and cheese platters.
  • Staff is usually pretty kind and knows plenty about wine. They are a great resource.
  • The cheese board is a must. Great small plates, that really aren't that small! 2 with a shared cheeseboard is plenty. Such a great atmosphere and lovely music
  • Great for dates! The wine, food, and atmosphere is superb!
  • The Pork chops & the cheese!
  • My favorite in all of NOLA. So much atmosphere and cheese
