  • Service is incredible!! You will feel like you are sitting in a Vietnamese kitchen. It's a cozy space and the staff is all family or lifelong friends. They are super friendly and they deliver!!!
  • Caramelized shrimp and bacon ... Try not to lick that plate. I dare you.
  • Village Voice is proud to welcome Bun-Ker to the 2014 Choice Eats food fest! http://bit.ly/1cRzdNV. How delicious do honey chili wings sound?
  • New York Magazine Cheap Eats issue names this "The Best New Cheap-Eats Joint" and promises it's "categorically worth the trip." Recommendations include, banh xeo, suon nuong xa, and ca ri ga.
  • Eat whatever they have on special. Ingredients are amazing and this place is worth the trek!
  • NYT recommends cha ca, Saigon special banh mi, coconut tapioca pudding.
  • The oxtail pho is phoking awesome
  • OMG. This is the best place I have eaten at in a while!
  • A small funky spot for Vietnamese banh mi and pho, not destination-worthy but good for the neighborhood.
  • Best Vietnamese food in NY right now. Pho Ga soup is worth the trip alone. Chef worked at Eleven Madison Park and trained with street food vendors in Vietnam. Exquisite comfort food, inexpensive.
  • Not BYOB anymore! The banh xeo is a must. It's really hard to find a proper delicious one outside of Vietnam. Everything else is great. Top notch chef!
  • Best pho I've ever had. It takes three days to prepare the broth. Do it.
  • Phenomenal. Bring Riesling or slum it with a tallboy of Heiny from the Western Beef next door. Order the whole menu. Talk to the people at your table. Profit.
  • Wow! Great Vietnamese. Get there early bc place is small and seats fill up fast.
  • What to get: roasted portobello banh mi; banh xeo (shrimp-and-bacon-studded crepe); suon nuong xa (char-grilled lemongrass pork tenderloin, fried egg and rice); ca ri ga (chicken curry, flaky roti).
  • Everything was so good! For fish lovers, cha ca is the way to go. Suon nuong xa tasted great as well. I wasn't a big fan of the watermelon juice but the limeade was great! Coconut pudding wasdelicious
  • The chili mackerel banh mi tempers fishy funk with spicy mayo. Coconut tapioca pudding is a must-order.
  • There are no words. Except maybe order the flounder, the baby boy, the crepe. Also, the lime drink and ginger drink were a great addition. But, no words.
  • Delicious everything... Especially the surf-n-turf, crab spring rolls, and summer rolls. Can't wait to go back. Would be really nice if you got water pitchers for the tables, though :-)
  • Vietnamese food is about fresh flavors and the quality ingredients here make Bunker a superlative example of the cuisine. Best bahn xeo outside of Vietnam. And don't sleep on the surf-n-turf special.
