  • Coast redwoods, or Sequoia sempervirens, are the tallest living things in the world, with some extending beyond 370 feet. Here some great tips about visiting the park:
  • I'm all for paying for parks, but if you are cash strapped, you can park for free just outside the park kiosk near the visitor center. If you do go in, this 2.3 mile loop hike is a gem (follow link)
  • Nice walk, with Parsons and Colonel tree a short stroll from parking lot.
  • Did the East Ridge Trail and back on the Pioneer Trail with a 5 year old. 3.5M. Totally doable and great hike!
  • Beautiful redwoods! There is an easy 1 mile trail that stays flat for those of us not wanting a hike but wanting to be in nature. Walked it 41 weeks pregnant!!!
  • Take a walk among some of the tallest trees in the world
  • If you like going on trails, this is a great place to do that. It also very educational.
  • The hike to the top of east ridge is worth it! Spectacular view from a very great trail.
  • You can only hear the quiet if you yourself are quiet
  • Dogs are allowed in the park, but only on the paved areas.
  • If you like tall trees. Youll love Armstrong Redwoods.
  • Steep trails by the picnic area.
  • Pioneer Nature Trail and The Discovery Trail were great, quick, easy trails
  • Visit in the morning before the crowds and soak up the cool Redwood air
  • Add the pool ridge trail to the accessible hike for a more intense (~500 ft elevation gain) and private hike.
  • Worth a trip.
  • Smelting is good. Make sure you visit the biggun.
  • This is a beautiful park with some easy walking paths. Can't get enough of redwoods. So amazing!
  • Just as good as Muir Woods and less crowded!
  • Get your tree on!
