Tips

  • Wow at the new Hammer Strength machines and Olympic squat racks! The new wing of the rec center will blow you away. Biometric admission system is pretty cool too.
  • Drink plenty of water during your workout!
  • I always use the weight room upstairs to avoid alot of congestion....Sunday evenings are usually pretty non-congested on the main floor if ur trying to decide when to work out on the weekends...
  • Workout!!!
  • Can't find a free machine on the first floor? Head upstairs! The Fitness Center's gym area is broken up into smaller areas located on different floors.
  • Best to come before 4:00, too crowded after that. Pretty dead 10:00-3:00. Too many machines, but barbell/freeweights are enough. Nice pools.
  • Hard to breathe with all the frat boys doing curls in here
  • They close at 7pm every Saturday so come early.
  • America needs to work out!
  • Get there during non peak hours to avoid the crowds. Field house has open hours too - plus it usually pretty empty.
  • Pretty overcrowded and "included" in tuition. Just like your classes.
  • I just started taking the Cross Training class (CTX). It's tough but it's going to make my running so much faster and stronger!
  • Gimme dat new new.
  • Stop by the Rec Center, April 2-6, for the Egg Hunt. Find an egg and win prizes!
  • Opens at 5:45am. By 6:15 its packed and stays like that for the rest of the day. Be prepared for crowds.
  • I'm sexy and I know it.
  • Visit the University Recreation Center February 20 - 24 for Wellness Week! What will it take to start making tomorrow your TODAY?!
  • Just too many people here Friday night
  • Try the KoreFit machine - it provides a full body workout in one piece of equipment (especially for your core!)
  • Check out the fall trips and clinics that the Center for Outdoor Adventure offers. There's an indoor bouldering clinic today at 6:00pm. Check it out!
