Tips

  • The architecture is especially charming!
  • I'm not sure why another tipster said kids aren't welcome here. My children have been coming here for ten years and have always been welcomed. The staff is hit-or-miss but generally helpful.
  • WiFi doesn't require library card; slick printer setups and relatively new computers
  • Free parking behind the building.
  • Closed on the first Monday of March in observance of Pulaski Day.
  • The online hold system is the way to go as items are rarely on the shelves where they are supposed to be.
  • Check out the second floor, it is awesome up here, soooo many books!
  • The library's namesake, Conrad Sulzer, was a Swiss settler in the area in the 19th century.
  • Sulzer library was one of three Chicago regional libraries I go to.
  • Great selection of music to burn onto laptop!
  • Printing something? Add printing credit to your library card at the circulation desk BEFORE you reserve a computer and try to print.
  • Plenty of computers. Down side is the loud teens always running through here, without security intervention
  • I have been coming here ever since I can remember. I have mixed feelings about this branch though, the 2nd floor is the best. Lots have great audiobooks downstairs as well.
  • Great selection.of audio books!!
  • Is it just me or can the Wi-Fi access points here use a boost ? Maybe it depends on where you sit.
  • Sulzer and Harold Washington are the only libraries open in Chicago on Mondays since recent budget cuts.
  • Second floor rules!
  • Energy Efficiency Workshop
  • there are some crazies here, but it reminds me of libraries in the 'burbs.
