  • Looks like Jurassic Park.
  • Read the signs near the restrooms for the map, read the signs at the top for phallic history, show a Hawaii ID for free parking, and read the Foursquare tips for the secret path.
  • Crazy beautiful
  • Take the secret "lovers trail" to the left of the hut.
  • $5 for parking and the machine takes forever prepare to stand in line for20 minutes just to pay to get in. Retarded!
  • The warning signs are basically a wink to venture further. There's so much more to explore, especially after going so far out of the way. Ignore the railings and signs. So worth it
  • Get your hike on! It's well worth it. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting a bit mucky. Otherwise, mud dried and comes off easily- just do the hike!
  • Parking is 5 bucks. Kaamaina parking is free with hawaii id.
  • A secret hike lies beyond the end of the official trail.
  • Expect it to be raining. One of the most beautiful and wet locations on Maui.
  • Refreshing water
  • Pictures do not do this absolutely breathtaking spot on Maui justice. Learn about the history behind the area and dip your feet in the cold water. Parking is $5 and make sure to heed all signs!

  • Crowded with poorly behaved tourists. Needs better parking ... beautiful view and site however
  • This amazing valley could be a movie scene from King Kong or Jurassic Park. Nice river where you can take a swim.
  • Absolute stunning def a MUST
  • Theres a reason this place is on all the top-things lists for Maui, and it all starts on the other side of this railing at the sign pictured. This is a 2-hour hike that brings you to an amazing view.
  • This is a great place to hike!
  • Great little vista, a 4-5 yr old could easily do the climb.
  • Beyond the "remain on designated walkway sign" lies a Narnian nature experience. About 1 hour trek in the mud for me through banana trees to a summit. Wear flip flops or shoes that you can get muddy.
