Tips

  • Sit at the chef's counter! You may get a surprise from the kitchen.
  • Sit at the chef's table which is actually just the bar--it's inches away from the finishing station, so you can see every dish being plated.
  • Kevin Sbraga loves this place! -Kevin Sbraga, Top Chef
  • Great spot to power snack. Of course, the food is good, but its watching bigwigs work the room while nibbling on Sals meatballsthat would be Sal Vetri, the chefs fatherthats the real draw.
  • Marc Vetri cooked dinner for Anthony Bourdain when he stopped by on the first day of his trip to Philadelphia to film his show The Layover.
  • Simple Roman-style pastastonnarelli cacio e pepe (pecorino and black pepper), bucatini alla gricia (pork belly, chili flakes, and pecorino)are favorites.
  • Get the fried artichoke... So good.
  • Brunch definitely try the scrapple
  • If you're stopping by for brunch, make sure to get the housemade pork roll sandwich!
  • Dont miss the pigs trotter arancini (to share) and the pappardelle with oxtail ragu (to keep for yourself).
  • My favorite place in all the land. My go-to's: Baked pecorino. Jalapeo bucatini. Any ragu or corn pasta. Brussels sprouts or cauliflower. Rice pudding or Nutella waffle with butter semifriedo. Boom.
  • ricotta and black pepper bruschetta was awesome. had the pork shoulder pasta special. also amazing. the Brussel sprouts were good too and the reserved table was ready on time.. definitely recommend!
  • Great food, terrible service and even worse management.
  • Try the Fettucine With Pork Ragu - Light and delicious
  • Marc Vetri's newest spot is his most affordable and most low-key. The house cured meats and simple plates like the Fried Lambs Tongue and Turkey Milanese hit the spot for a late night bite.
  • House wine was great
  • Don't miss the tender roasted lamb shoulder, seasonal pastas or the fried artichokes.
  • Amis is a lively trattoria and the newest entry from celebrated chef Marc Vetri, a former James Beard Award winner and favorite of Food & Wine.
  • Meatballs were amazing :)
  • Try to grab one of the six first-come, first-served stools at the chef's counter to watch the James Beardaward-winning action.
