The American Firecracker is exactly what it sounds like. With hints of bell peppers and jalapeno, this cocktail brings a kick. The agave nectar and pear syrup add just the right amount of sweetness to make this cocktail shippable all Fourth of July. Crafted by Carlos Ruiz at Salud Lobby Lounge at JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tuscon, this drink will easily become a crowd pleaser at any get together.
*Do not muddle jalapeno, as we just added the jalapenos into your shaker for added flavor.
- 3 Tablespoons chopped red bell peppers
- 2 Ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice (about half a lemon)
- 2 Ounces American Harvest Vodka
- 1 Ounce Lillet Blanc
- 1/2 Ounce agave nectar
- 1 Ounce prickly pear syrup
- 2 thin sliced jalapeno wheels*
Muddle the chopped bell peppers.
Add all ingredients into a Hawthorns Martini Shaker Tin, shake vigorously with crushed ice and strained into a Rocks Glass with ice ball. Finally, garnish your cocktail with a piece of a red bell pepper.
