Tips

  • The new AltaMare is bigger, busier, and better than the old Alta Mar, which itself was no slouch. The classically elegant dining room is also better-looking.
  • The steak was awesome :)
  • Excellent tuna tartare, grouper cheek and day scallops! What a nice addition to the 1200 block of lincoln road.
  • Nightly fresh-fish specials are a tasty treat from this tiny Miami spot located among chain restaurants. Sit on the patio and indulge in Italian seafood - perfect for a first date.
  • Always ask for the specials and sit at the chefs table!!
  • good but overpriced, even for south beach.
  • On the quieter side of Lincoln Road, this low key neighborhood fave is known for fresh fish, pasta and Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova sightings. [Eater 38 Member]
  • Local hogfish carpaccio with hearts of palm, orange, lemon and olive oil is a nice entry into the subtleties of chef Simon Stojanavic's way with fish.
  • Seafood is amazing, and so is the wine recommended by the waiter. Well worth the price.
  • The new AltaMare is bigger, busier, and better than the old Alta Mar, which itself was no slouch.
  • Fish selections often number more than a dozen, with connoisseurs' selections of tripletail, wahoo, pompano, golden tile, and yellowjack for about $30 a piece. Ideal for first-daters.
  • Tomas is the bartender - the best!
  • Marvelous fresh seafood
  • As a local, it's one of my favorite spots. Some of the best seafood and fish in Miami, hands down! And the Thai Mussels.. I've not had better!
  • It's no mystery as to why AltaMare as been crowned Best Restaurant several times. Their seafood, wine and service are superb.
  • Some of the best hamachi crudo and cobia ceviche I've ever enjoyed! The raw taster app offers you a nice sampling of both.
  • Sit outside, it's the best. Ask for Raul.
  • We were four and tried different dishes and appetizers. All the recommended food was just fabulous. Cocktails were delicious as well. The service was outstanding. A little expensive though.
  • Loved the Terracotta Seafood Pot & linguine with Golden Crab!
  • The finest seafood in Miami Beach.
