6 Springtime Food Festivals

If you go gaga over food, beer, wine, and music, plan a weekend getaway to eat and drink your heart out this spring.

What is shaping up to be the most exciting event this season is The Great GoogaMooga, an amusement park of food and drink in Brooklyn, N.Y. Superfly, the group behind music festival's like Bonnaroo, will take over Prospect Park May 19 and 20 to host food vendors, brewers, winemakers, and live music. General admission tickets are free, though you must register in advance.

The Austin Food & Wine Festival, a collaboration of C3, the group behind the Austin City Limits Music Festival, and Food & Wine magazine, is the perfect excuse for a visit to this foodie hot spot. The event,

If cheese plays the lead role in your culinary playbook, don't miss the Seattle Cheese Festival at Pike Place Market, May 19 and 20, or California's Artisan Cheese Festival, March 25 in Sonoma, Calif.
For wine and beer enthusiasts, immerse yourself in Sonoma's Passport to Dry Creek Valley, April 28 and 29, or Savor Craft Beer Festival in D.C., June 8 and 9.
