The weekend means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For some, it’s a time to get out of the house and explore the neighborhood. For others, it’s a chance to get away and escape to some far-off destination for a two-day vacation. For us, it means getting more time to spend in the kitchen, and the members of our Culinary Content Network have some great ideas to get us inspired.
Sometimes we’re looking to clean out our fridge, and this ham fried rice from Mommy’s Kitchen is a great way to get rid of some leftover deli meat.
Other times we like to explore the weekend farmers’ market, and we might find a big beautiful batch of fresh strawberries to bring home and make Bake or Break’s strawberry ice box pie.
Or we may be entertaining over the weekend, and making roasted potatoes like Mix It Up’s spicy and sweet ones made with juicy pineapple, a great dish for serving a crowd.
With no work or weekday commitments, you have a window of opportunity to explore and try new things, especially when it comes to cooking, so try these three new recipes this weekend.
