2013 Philly Farm & Food Fest On Sunday, April 14th
Calling all aspiring bee keepers, local food lovers, and green business owners!
Saturday, April 14th is the Second Annual Philly Farm & Food Fest, brought to you by Fair Food and Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture. This celebration of all things eco-friendly and delicious will be held from 11am-4pm in the Convention Center Annex.
Attendees will be able to sample food and drink from over a hundred artisans, farmers, and sustainable businesses: Great Acres Goat Dairy, ReAnimator Coffee, Gilda's Biscotti, Wild Flour Bakery and so many others. There are also a number of workshops offered throughout the afternoon, including farm-to-table cooking demonstrations by Chef Josh Lawler from The Farm and the Fisherman and Chef Valerie Erwin of Geechee Girl Rice Café.
Family friendly activities like design-your-own organic cotton t-shirt, and an audience with the Pennsylvania Honey Queen will keep the little ones happy, and sips of Victory Brewing company craft beer and cocktails from the Philadelphia Distilling Company in the Local Libations Lounge will provide a welcome break for adults.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door; children 12 and under get in for free! Tickets can be purchased at www.phillyfarmfest.org.
