Foursquare Tips

  • One of the better Ethiopian restaurants in NYC
  • Veggie sampler is perfect for 2
  • They only take cash or AMEX, which is not convenient to find out when your bill comes.
  • Fantastic Ethiopian food. Highly recommend the tibs wett.
  • Go to Zoma and eat the Zoma Tibs and drink the honey wine.
  • This cozy spot offers dishes such as Yebeg Aticha (lamb marinated with ginger and rosemary spices) and Zoma Tibs (cubed filet mignon pieces marinated in green peppers and red onions).
  • The combination platters are marvelously complex. The tej, an Ethiopian-style honey wine, is made by Brotherhood Winery in Washingtonville, N.Y., the oldest winery in the U.S. - Inspector
  • Doro Tibs and honey wine...truly unbeatable combo and must haves when here at Zoma!!
  • Two words: Vegetarian Combo.
  • Eff what anyone says. Eat with ur hands and enjoy. Also the food does not look like baby food. And it is incredible

  • Zoma is ma spot!!
  • Some of the best Ethiopian food around! Try the Bozena Shiro
  • Ethiopian coffee is quite bitter, the sugar cubes were a critical need for its enjoyment. The big platter with bread and assorted foods is recommended, good for sharing.
  • The Jameson Uptown Ginger was awesome. The staff was great. The vegetarian combination dinner was delicious. I won't wait so long for my next visit. It's a must when you visit Harlem.
  • The tibs wett was delicious. Good portion to share
  • Skip the meat dishes and go straight for the vegetarian items (this is coming from an avid meat eater). The shiro wett was my personal favorite.
  • Great ambiance and Ethiopian music. The shiro wat is a delicious vegetarian choice.
  • Nice staff, delicious food
  • Amazing food, amazing ambiance, and amazing drinks. Try the Jameson Uptown Ginger.
