Where to Grab Local Grub in Charleston, SC

Lowcountry local brews and bites are served at Maker's Market at Mixton

On the first Sunday of every month, the aptly named Maker’s Market at Mixson, an open-air artists market, hosts an array of Lowcountry-inspired attractions, such as food trucks, local brews, live music, and wares.

Artists, craftsman, growers, and producers all come together at the monthly artisanal marketplace to sell art, crafts, products, and food. Food trucks like BBQ Joint, My Name is BBQ, and Daniel Island Grill’s Dig Rig cook up Southern comfort food. Entrance is free.

Local bands such as Wire and Wine provide musical enjoyment while locals shop for crafts and sample the street eats from Taco Boy and Sweeteeth Chocolate. Beat the heat with the unique-flavored ice pops made by King of Pops or local craft beers from Cork Neighborhood Bistro.
