You've gotta love mothers. We wouldn’t be here without them. Once a year they get the shout out they deserve, and there’s no better way to show your appreciation for the lady who looked after you than an excellent meal. Restaurants all around Chicago are ready to make their mamas proud by serving  scrumptious brunches for all the mothers in town. If you want to show your mom a little something special this year, we recommend some of the following brunch options.

The Bristol – Wicker Park
This darling of the dining scene is offering a prix fixe menu to mothers and their families. At $45 per person, diners get a decadent first course spread, as well as their choice of a number of mouth-watering entrees, such as noodles with spiced pork broth and cinnamon bread pudding French toast. Take a look at the menu here.

Lockwood Restaurant – The Loop
With a price of $68 for adults, Lockwood is offering a sumptuous Mother’s Day buffet. This spread is complete with specialties of spring, special chef-prepared cuts, and plenty of desserts to satisfy the sweetest moms. You can check out the menu here.

Graham Elliot Bistro – West Loop
This one is for the cool moms. Graham Elliot’s rock ‘n roll inspired restaurant puts the jam in your donut with plenty of delicious options. Choose from banana-stuffed brioche French toast, classic biscuits & gravy, or go all in with a rabbit banh mi. It’ll definitely be a meal to remember.

Tru – Gold Coast/Streeterville
Usually only open for dinner, this fine dining gem on the Magnificent Mile is waking up early for a special Mother’s Day brunch. A 5 course meal will be offered for $85 a person. The price is well worth it, as Chef Anthony Martin promises plenty of surprises sure to please even the pickiest mom.

North Pond – Lincoln Park
This quaint restaurant in Lincoln Park presents the perfect setting for a spring brunch. Their prix fixe menu, which you can peruse here, includes three courses with incredible options, such as tempura soft-shell crab and white chocolate-cherry mousse.

Mercadito – River North
At $35 per guest, Mercadito’s brunch is an affordable meal. Don’t worry; they don’t skimp on the goodies! A four-course sharing menu and cocktail are all included, as well as a special gift for all the moms. Take a look at the sharing plates here.

Bistrot Margot – Old Town
This classic French bistro in Old Town offers a great value for a delicious meal. A three course meal filled with traditional favorites is the next best thing to taking your mom to Paris, and significantly lighter on the wallet at $26.95 a person. Read the menu here.

Mercat a la Planxa – South Loop
Head south for a three course extravaganza featuring a Spanish flair. The menu features options like chicken and chorizo paella and chocolate brioche donuts with raspberry compote. There’s even a make-your-own-pancake station for kids, so that they can make Mom that one-of-a-kind breakfast. Glitter not included (we hope).
