What's The Most Popular Recipe On The Internet?

Although we will forever swear that The Daily Meal has some of the best recipes on the Web, it seems like one recipe has trumped us all: John Chandler's World's Best Lasagna.

Funnily enough, as The Washington Post finds out, John Chandler isn't a chef, or a culinary school maestro. Rather, he's a salesman and father of two, a random guy who submitted his recipe to Allrecipes at the urging of an (ex)girlfriend. Since he submitted it in 2001, it's gained a slew of five-star reviews; according to Allrecipes' numbers, about 12 million people have viewed the recipe in the past five years, there are 10,423 ratings, and it's been "pinned" more than 25,000 times. For the past decade, it's been the most popular recipe on the site.

"It's not something I go around beating my chest about. But it makes an interesting icebreaker, you know?" Chandler told The Washington Post.

Check it out yourself here to see if the world's most popular recipe lives up to the hype. "It takes a little work, but it is worth it," Chandler wrote on the site. Even better, you won't have to wait two hours for a seat.
