Watch: You've Been Peeling Carrots Wrong Your Whole Life

There's a better and more time efficient way to peel carrots that you probably have never seen before unless you've been trained in a professional kitchen. It's so brilliant and simple that it almost makes me angry, but I digress.

All you need is a vegetable peeler with a double-sided blade (a fairly standard design of the vegetable peeler that you likely have already).

Place your carrot against your cutting board at a 45 degree angle, and peel the carrot by drawing the peeler up the carrot, back down, and repeat while you rotate the carrot.

Flip the carrot and do the same on the other side and repeat. It sounds confusing if you've never done it before, but the video below from Eat The Love shows you just how easy it is.

Have you ever been so overwhelmed with the desire to peel a bunch of carrots immediately? Me either, it's weird.
