Foursquare Tips

  • Girls happened here. On a job interview, Hannah explains that she likes a bar where the average patron would be described as crotchety in our modern society, crotchety is undervalued.
  • Staff Pick! Stephanie (Education): Darkish dive bar with a good selection of beers on tap. They also have an outdoor patio area in the back for when the sun is shining.
  • DRINK!Be Merry!
  • A real bar here
  • They have gluten free beer!!!! I love this place :)
  • Who invited the fussy baby? Get that kid a drink!
  • I just saw a rat in the outdoor area!!! :'(
  • This place is the opposite of a dive bar despite Brooklyn Museums tip. Like, what the hell.
  • Great and frequently updated list of drafts. Also one of the best backyard gardens in the neighborhood.
  • If you're in the neighborhood, go. If you smoke, light up. If you have a dog, bring 'em. Everything goes at Washington Commons.
  • This cozy pub serves specialty beers (like Mothers Milk and Houblon Chouffe) to a youthful crowd. Perks include free popcorn and a spacious outdoor area.
  • Great place to hang out in Prospect Heights. Definitely a beer bar, so leave your fancy cocktail orders at home. Garden is awesome in warm weather.
  • Staff Pick! Jenny (Exhibitions): One of the best back-patios in Brooklyn and good hefeweizen on tap. Celebrated my last birthday here.
  • Spacious backyard and extensive beer selection give it the beer garden feel. Crowded at night and the barkeeps seem overwhelmed, but you can still find a seat and enjoy your finely crafted ale. Kwak.
  • No dogs here. Bartender actually got bit in The Face. Fair enough. Dont fuss about it!!
  • They no longer allow dogs....poor puppies!
  • Dogs are NO LONGER allowed here. They changed the rules recently. Leave your pup at home.
  • Washington Commons has an excellent always-rotating draft list of quality beers and has great cult films playing most nights.
  • I miss the old administration. Eric B.
  • Red Breast Irish Whiskey for $7 is a steal. Slainte!
