2-hour wait on a Friday night, but try and find a place at the bar - it's worth it. The beets in avocado and chicken were incredible.

Go to Vinegar Hill House and be happy that you stayed in Brooklyn. They will be nice to you even if you are the only person in the place not wearing plaid. Also, there is a fireplace.

Large parties should definitely make reservations. Once seated, try the Fennel and Radish Salad followed by the Cast Iron Chicken!

The cream cheese-frosted Guinness cakes are rich and so delicious. They follow a dinner of quail eggs and hearty meats nicely. This is comfort food at its best, so indulge! - Soraya

Wonderful place, food is amazing but leave room for the Guiness chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting and the salted caramel custard. Both outstanding!

Bitter greens salad with buttermilk dressing, the chop, and the Guiness chocolate cake. Say no more
The Food Sluts
A rustic, relaxing gem. Delicious, reasonable food and a great excuse to escape Manhattan. We loved the stuffed squid with braised oxtail ($12) and the gorgeous salted caramel custard ($8).

Everything is yummy.

Great Bloody Mary and zucchini omelette right here.

F to York -> Walk north away from the throngs of folks in Dumbo proper to discover Vinegar Hill, maybe the only NY hoods that could be called a hamlet. Then fill yo belly with scrumptious food/drink.

So they have a new pastry chef as of a few months ago, and she's a genius. Maybe the best vanilla ice cream I've ever had.
Stephanie S.
Salted caramel ice cream is a must!

The thimble-sized glasses of wine will bankrupt you before you can even get a buzz on!
