Vermont Brewers Festival: July 15 — 16, 2011
Situated along the lush, green waterfront of Burlington, Vermont, you'll find a slew of artisan beer makers and the drinkers that love them celebrating the Vermont Brewers Festival.
Now in its 19th year, the festival brings together local craft beer makers like the Alchemist Pub and Brewery, Harpoon, Magic Hat Brewing Co., and Otter Creek, among many others, alongside such loved local eateries as American Flatbread, Ana's Empanadas, and local cheese maker Mt. Mansfield Creamery.
We'd have no problem crowding around the "Meet the Brewer" tent for beer and cheese pairings, beer and chocolate pairings, a workshop on sustainable brewing, and a talk on the process of brewing lager. Since the festival is a mere two days of beer fanaticism, take advantage of being in Vermont by taking a post-festival tour of the Magic Hat Brewing Co. or book it to New Hampshire for a tour of the Portsmouth Brewery.
