Foursquare Tips

  • As far as the food, I've had better and I've had worse. The service is horrible. In my opinion, don't eat here
  • Bad service and sad food. Do NOT visit this joint. I thought it was a "Cracker Barrel" style restaurant but its just a low quality cuban place, you can go anywhere else for better Cuban food.
  • Don't miss the sangria!!!
  • Uncle Tom's reopened in June 2014 with a menu full of authentic pit barbecue items like brisket ($10.95), baby-back ribs ($19.95), and chicken ($9.95). Great barbecue at a good price.
  • Place is under new mgt removing some of the items. Going back to its roots!!!
  • Food was great but had 2 roaches join the bar for lunch
  • I've visited this place a few times now and with every visit the service keeps getting worst and worst! Food felt average as well. Hope these are not signs of where the rest. is headed.
  • This place has been here forever. It changed hands a few years ago and became much more Hispanic. For decades, however, this was the only old school southern BBQ place around. Still tasty though.
  • Awesome place! Corn fritters are delicious!
  • The original sauce is ~almost~ back...but they're tryin'! Great service!
  • Good BBQ but way too loud.... Uncomfortably so, with the sound system for all the tv's. Can't talk at the table very well
  • The American stile of dishes
  • Yuck, yuck and YUCK. BBQ sauce was gross so we didn't order. Even the brewed tea was mediocre.
  • The stuffed Mac and cheese with brisket!!! The flan!! The street corn!!
  • Menu looks great and food is tasty!
  • Food was pretty good. Had the pulled pork sandwich and it was great. From the old reviews it seems like they are getting back to there roots.
  • It's a shame but there was a fire in the kitchen here today and this place burnt down. May this piece of Miami history RIP.
  • disappointing to hear this place WAS old school southern. it should be called Tio Tom's Cuban BBQ Fusion. the pork sandwich was Cuban pork (mojo) with BBQ sauce on a potato roll.
  • The thre chicks that work here look good. Food aint so bad, and they also offer cuban food aside from the BBQ
  • Been a miamian all my life and driven by a million times. Heard it was good back in the 80's, but don't waste your time. Food is horrible. Got the baby back ribs and i think i can make better ribs.
