Foursquare Tips

  • Didn't the same owner also have another place, The Hump, shut down for selling whale sushi? Endangered species much?
  • A must try; the Pineapple Fried Rice.
  • Singapore-style scorpions on shrimp toast at Typhoon. As seen on Bizarre Foods.
  • Boo, the only have a couple of bugs on the menu now. :-(
  • The sea worms are really salty.. I would suggest pouring the sauce onto the wraps before eating, they are too salty to eat otherwise.
  • Came here to try eating insects and frog legs for the first time. They weren't so bad. There chocolate lava cake however wasn't the best but still went down more easily than the bugs.
  • If you enjoy Pan-Asian food, this is definitely the place to go. They have a nice selection, even some insects.
  • Tasty oriental food.
  • Spotted Harrison Ford!
  • Scorpion was delicious!
  • !
  • excellent wait staff!
  • wi-fi network: Typhoon_Public wi-fi password: tower - via 4sqwifi.com
  • Thai Style Frog Legs. Up next? Singapore style scorpion on shrimp toast.
  • Great dim sum and jet watching
  • Feast on Argentinean grass-fed beef, 4 different kinds of Ceviche or an array of dishes from Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, & Guatemala with a view of the runway, Century City & the Santa Monica Mountains.
  • Lots of amazing stuff on the menu. Best starter, Ma La Dumplings. Best entree, hard to pick - but Filipino Grilled Pork and Mongolian Beef with Pocket Biscuits are excellent.
  • Filipino pork and chao gio. V nice.
  • A fun place to go. Overlooks the runway @ the Santa Monica airport. Interesting crowd from Thurston Howell III to SMC denizens. Food quite good considering the giant cross section of Asia covered.
