Foursquare Tips

  • At chef Josh Keelers unpretentious bistro, wines are served in tumblers and dishes are simple and down-to-earth. Shelves are lined with souvenirs: take home a clay plate or Bittermilk cocktail mixer.
  • TBL has a space that's inviting and a menu that's inventive, with dishes like pork neck and veal sweetbreads regularly on the menu. The kampachi crudo is a must-try, as are all the desserts.
  • Go for the scrapple breakfast sandwich made with super-crispy homemade scrapple.
  • Super hipster. Would be at home in Williamsburg. You can't miss with the menu though. Just go with it.
  • Go on wednesday for burger night! As matter of fact go any time. Small but really cool place with wonderful staff and excellent food
  • Believe the hype! Bacon breakfast sandwich is so delicious.
  • Sad no oxtail tonight but LOCAL FAV: CLAMMER DAVE'S CLAMS sounds GREAT! Bacon, Cabbage, Potato, Dashi. Very cozy spot & cool bar. Seat by window is nice.
  • What's good at this place?? Never been.
  • Get the oxtail. You won't regret it. The bowl-o-noodles is awesome.
  • They serve breakfast all day!!! Awesome food/wine/beer (check out their growlers) to take home.... The t-shirt pictured is of the TBL mascot, Walter - Josh and Heather's Baby Dog. :~)

  • Like a setting for Portlandia. Food is solid though. Try any entree. Really, go for something new. Avoid desserts.
  • Wednesday night is burger night. Starts at 5pm, but they don't last long. Decadent and delicious. Bowl-o-noodles is a staple, charcuterie board is a must, too.
  • The bone marrow and charcuterie are outstanding. Ramen Night and Burger Night are both worth attending
  • Amazing food! They don't take AMEX, FYI...
  • The food is very well executed, and the beer options are solid - lots of local choices!
  • Very short handed wait staff when I visited, but they were trying. Still a great place, just try to be patient.
  • We recommend the Tuna Conserva, Diver Scallops, Hot Chicken and the Bowl of Noodles!
