Yup, Airport Restaurant Month Is Apparently A Thing

Airports have been upping their culinary games for years now. It's no longer surprising to see celebrity chef outposts or local trend-setting pop-ups by your gate. Airports and airlines spend a lot of time and effort attempting to create excitement and buzz about this stuff. So it was also not surprising when airport food company HMSHost launched the first Airport Restaurant Month last year, offering special menus at restaurants in 20 airports across the country — the same way cities run Restaurant Weeks to showcase their food landscape.

What did give us a little shock was that it was apparently successful enough to bring back for a second year.

That's right: Airport Restaurant Month is back. For the rest of October, eateries at 27 airports in the U.S. and Canada are showcasing seasonal fall menus at special prices.

Participating airports include New York's JFK, Los Angeles's LAX, Calgary, Denver, Kansas City, Little Rock, Tampa, and more. Find the full list of airports and restaurants at AirportRestaurantMonth.com.
